Naturalism

Naturalism in the first place sounds like nature; so now whats the meaning of  Naturalism is the form of literature that presents the life of human beings in relationship with nature. It shows reality at its natural state. It attempts to tell us that peoples lives have been determined already by nature. Naturalistic writers study humans through their characters which are governed by their instincts .
Why did Steinbeck the author insert this element. He inserted this because so that he will draw our minds close to how humans are also in a form of beast that includes the behavior and  how their personality reflect on them.
Second one is what aspect or characters of the 1930s are being demonstrated at those moment in the text In my own words i will say that at that time period  they where not civilized and people where also poor the where no jobs you had to struggle to find one.
What do you believe John Steinbeck was trying to show us or expose about the way people, life, or society was during this time in American history? I believe that he was trying  to show us how life wasn't easy that living a wealthy life was very difficult because jobs where very hard to find .

Picturing the History Behind Of Mice and Men

In the OF MICE AND MEN the characters who are mentioned are GEORGE AND  LENNIE.  First of all this story took place in the 1930s which at that time was a very hard time to find jobs and live comfortable life.  In this story it is all about life how life was difficult how humans behaved like animals.  Now lets see there are some questions that need to answered like What might you have thought when read this story me in my case i think that, in the  first chapter is about how two friends leave their old jobs and are looking for new jobs and the reach a place, they are thirsty and hungry life at that time was not comfortable jobs where very hard to find and they where not also civilized there where no luxury living at that time which was also like the weak people always depending on the poor people.

There are some quotes "Behind him walked a huge man, shapeless of face, with large pale eyes and wide sloping shoulders; and he walked heavily dragging his feet a little, the way bears drags their paws ." this means that in some scenes humans are likely like animals which is applying to nature .

Picturing the History Behind Of Mice and Men

For a moment the place was lifeless, and then two men emerged from the path and came into the opening by the green pool.
They had walked in single file down the path, and even in the open one stayed behind the other. Both were dressed in denim trousers and in denim coats with brass buttons. Both wore black, shapeless hats and both carried tight blanket rolls slung over their shoulders. The first man was small and quick, dark of face, with restless eyes and sharp, strong features. Every part of him was defined: small, strong hands, slender arms, a thin and bony nose. Behind him walked his opposite, a huge man, shapeless of face, with large, pale eyes, with wide, sloping shoulders; and he walked heavily, dragging his feet a little, the way a bear drags his paws. His arms did not swing at his sides, but hung loosely.

The first man stopped short in the clearing, and the follower nearly ran over him. He took off his hat and wiped the sweat-band with his forefinger and snapped the moisture off. His huge companion dropped his blankets and flung himself. (1.2-4)

Sound familiar? Kind of like the pictures, right? In writing, compare and contrast this opening section from Of Mice and Men to the pictures you analyzed in class. What does the text and the photographs show us about the 1930s?  Be specific!
“Frank E. Webner, pony express rider”
The picture is black and white you can also see two horses they are traveling as you can see the horses are full with stuff  i can see two people the background is a dry land you can see that life was horrible no cars to make traveling easy.
