Naturalism

Naturalism in the first place sounds like nature; so now whats the meaning of  Naturalism is the form of literature that presents the life of human beings in relationship with nature. It shows reality at its natural state. It attempts to tell us that peoples lives have been determined already by nature. Naturalistic writers study humans through their characters which are governed by their instincts .
Why did Steinbeck the author insert this element. He inserted this because so that he will draw our minds close to how humans are also in a form of beast that includes the behavior and  how their personality reflect on them.
Second one is what aspect or characters of the 1930s are being demonstrated at those moment in the text In my own words i will say that at that time period  they where not civilized and people where also poor the where no jobs you had to struggle to find one.
What do you believe John Steinbeck was trying to show us or expose about the way people, life, or society was during this time in American history? I believe that he was trying  to show us how life wasn't easy that living a wealthy life was very difficult because jobs where very hard to find .
